graveyard Special studios
Graveyard Special Studios is a new indie publisher founded by two Vegas natives, Paul Evangelista and Jason Saulog. Their aim is to create fresh and entertaining intellectual properties.
"Graveyard Special" is a term used in Vegas to refer to a late-night menu. Late night used to be a time when young artsy teens gathered with friends to brainstorm creative ideas. At least, that's how it was for two Vegas locals, Paul Evangelista and Jason Saulog.
They decided that the logo for Graveyard Special should be inspired by 1950s neon signs. The design consists of three tombstone shapes. One of the shapes also resembles a slot machine with a handle and 3 dials. On the far right tombstone, there are 3 four-point stars, a common feature in 1950s Vegas sign design. The tombstone shapes create a cast shadow on the implied ground. The words "Graveyard," "Special," and "Studios" are each written in their own hand-drawn font, another common characteristic of 1950s Vegas sign design. The design aims to be fun and playful, targeting a mature audience while still appealing to the younger audience who enjoy playful creepiness.

Sharkules title
Bold ancient Roman letters served as the primary inspiration for the Sharkules title. Some elements of the font design mimic the shape of a shark’s fin, and the color scheme corresponds to a shark's body.
